So I’ve been messing around with PUBG lately, and let me tell you, figuring out the weapon damage is a real pain in the neck. I mean, you’d think it’d be straightforward, right? Nope. Not in this game.
First off, I started by just playing the game, like anyone would. But after getting dropped by some dude with an Uzi in two seconds flat, I realized I needed a better plan. Just winging it wasn’t gonna cut it.

So, I hit up the internet, thinking there’d be some nice, neat charts or something. Boy, was I wrong. There’s a ton of info out there, but it’s all over the place. Some of it’s outdated, some of it’s just plain wrong. It was a mess.
After a while, I found a couple of decent sources, but even those were kind of confusing. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I grabbed a notebook and a pen—yeah, old school, I know—and started testing things out myself.
My Testing Method:
- Hopped into the training mode.
- Picked up each weapon.
- Shot at those target dummies they have set up.
- Jotted down the damage numbers.
It was tedious, I won’t lie. But after a few hours, I started to get a pretty good idea of what each gun could do. I even started comparing different attachments to see how they affected things. It was actually kind of interesting, in a nerdy sort of way.
I’m still working on it, to be honest. There are so many guns and so many factors to consider. But I feel like I’m finally making some progress. It’s not perfect, but it’s a heck of a lot better than just guessing.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure with you guys. Maybe it’ll save someone else the headache I went through. PUBG’s fun and all, but man, they don’t make it easy to figure this stuff out. If anyone else has done any testing, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe we can combine our powers and crack this thing once and for all!
