Today I’m gonna show you guys how I got my hands on that ancient statue in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It all started when Redd, that sneaky fox, showed up on my island.
I went over to his boat, you know, the Treasure Trawler, and checked out what he had for sale. He had a bunch of paintings and statues, but most of them looked a bit off, you know, like fakes. But then I saw this ancient statue. It was this little clay figure with glowing eyes. Something about it just seemed right, so I decided to take a chance and bought it for 4,980 Bells.

- Walked to the secret beach where Redd’s boat was docked.
- Entered the boat and browsed Redd’s art collection.
- Inspected the ancient statue carefully.
- Decided it looked genuine and purchased it.
The next day, I got the statue in the mail. I was pretty excited to see if it was real or not. So, I ran over to the museum and talked to Blathers. I donated the statue, and guess what? Blathers confirmed it was the real deal! He said it was an authentic ancient statue, and it would be displayed in the art exhibit.
Donation and Confirmation
- Received the statue in the mail the day after purchasing it.
- Headed to the museum and spoke with Blathers.
- Donated the ancient statue to the museum.
- Blathers verified its authenticity and placed it in the art exhibit.
I was so stoked! It felt awesome to find a real piece of art among all those fakes. Now, whenever I visit the museum, I can see the ancient statue on display, and it reminds me of that lucky day I trusted my gut and bought it from Redd. It’s these little victories that make playing Animal Crossing so much fun.
Oh, and here’s a little tip. If you see the ancient statue floating at night or the eyes are glowing, it is for sure a fake. So keep that in mind next time you see it on Redd’s boat. And trust me, it was a pain in the neck at first, but once you know how to tell the difference, it becomes a whole lot easier.
Man, finding that real ancient statue was a blast. It was like a mini-adventure in the game. You know the feeling, that rush when you find something cool and rare. So yeah, that’s my story of getting the ancient statue. Keep your eyes peeled for those genuine articles, folks, and happy treasure hunting!
