Alright, so I got this itch to play Mortal Kombat 1, you know, the new one. But I didn’t want to wait for the official release date. I heard about this “early access” thing and figured, why not? Let’s do this.
First thing I did was look up how to actually get into this early access. Turns out, you gotta pre-order the Premium Edition or the Kollector’s Edition. Ouch, my wallet felt that one. But hey, it’s Mortal Kombat, right? Gotta do what you gotta do.

So, I bit the bullet and pre-ordered the Premium Edition. Boom, instantly got that confirmation email. Felt pretty good, not gonna lie. The email said the early access starts on September 14th. Sweet!
Now, the waiting game began. I marked that date on my calendar, even set a reminder on my phone. Couldn’t risk missing it, you know?
September 14th finally rolled around. I was hyped. I fired up my console, and there it was. Mortal Kombat 1, ready to download. Man, that download felt like it took forever. I was watching that progress bar like a hawk.
Finally, it finished. I launched the game, and bam! I was in. Playing Mortal Kombat 1 before everyone else. It felt awesome. I spent the whole day just playing, trying out different characters, messing around with the new mechanics.
It was totally worth it, in my opinion. Getting that head start, you know, learning the ropes before the game officially drops, it’s a great feeling.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with Mortal Kombat 1 early access. If you’re a big fan of the series, and you can swing the extra cash for the Premium Edition, I’d say go for it. You won’t regret it.
