Okay, so I’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon Go lately, and I really wanted to figure out the best moveset for Solgaleo. It’s a pretty awesome legendary, and I was super excited when I finally caught one. But I wasn’t sure which moves to teach it. I mean, there are so many options!
First, I did some digging online. You know, just looking at what other people were saying. I checked out a few different Pokemon Go forums and watched a bunch of videos. It seemed like people had different opinions, but there were some common suggestions. A lot of people were talking about Zen Headbutt and Psychic Fangs for Fast Moves. For Charged Moves, most recommendations were around Iron Head, Psychic and Solar Beam.

After that, I decided to experiment a bit myself. I used a few TMs and tried out a bunch of different combinations. I battled in some raids and tried a few different gyms, just to see how the moves felt in action. It was kind of a pain, honestly, because TMs aren’t exactly easy to come by. But hey, it was worth it to figure out what worked best.
Here’s what I found after all that trial and error:
- Fast Move: I ended up going with Zen Headbutt. It just felt the most consistent to me. Psychic Fangs is nice too, but Zen Headbutt generates energy faster.
- Charged Moves: This is where things got interesting. I found that Iron Head is a must-have. It’s great for dealing with those pesky Fairy types. For the second Charged Move, I settled on Psychic for that extra Psychic type damage. I did think about Solar Beam, but its long cool down didn’t fit my play style.
So, my final Solgaleo moveset is Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, and Psychic. It might not be the perfect setup for everyone, but it’s been working really well for me. I’ve been able to take down a lot of strong opponents in raids and gyms with this combo. I’m pretty happy with the result. It took some time and resources, but I finally have a Solgaleo that I’m proud of!
Final Thoughts
If you’re struggling to figure out the best moveset for your Solgaleo, give this one a try! It might take some experimenting, but that’s part of the fun, right? Just remember to be patient and have fun with it. Good luck out there, trainers!
