Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Mythic dungeons lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I mainly heal, so I figured it was time to put together a little tier list based on my experiences. This is just my take on things, and of course, your mileage may vary. But hey, that’s the fun of it, right?
I started by playing a bunch of different healers. I mean, I’ve always been a Holy Paladin main, but I dusted off my old Resto Druid, leveled up a Mistweaver Monk, and even gave Discipline Priest a whirl (spoiler: it’s not for me). It was a bit chaotic at first, switching between all these different playstyles, but it was also super insightful.

Then, I started taking notes. Lots and lots of notes. After each dungeon, I’d jot down how each healer felt. Was I struggling to keep people up during big damage spikes? Did I feel like I had the right tools for each boss? Was I constantly running out of mana? You know, the usual healer anxieties. I even started tracking how much healing I was actually doing, but honestly, that number can be a bit misleading sometimes.
- Holy Paladin: They’re solid. Like, really solid. Amazing single-target healing, great for saving people from the brink. Plus, they bring a ton of utility. They felt really good for most situations.
- Restoration Druid: HoTs for days! These guys are awesome at blanketing the group with heals over time. They’re a bit trickier to master, though, since you need to anticipate damage and get your HoTs rolling early. But man, when you get it right, it feels amazing.
- Mistweaver Monk: This was a surprise for me. I’d always written them off, but they’re actually really strong. They have a good mix of single-target and AoE heals, and their mobility is insane. Zipping around the battlefield, patching people up, it’s pretty fun.
- Discipline Priest: Okay, this one is controversial. I know some people swear by them, but I just couldn’t get the hang of it. The whole damage-to-heal thing is interesting, but it felt really punishing in Mythic+. One wrong move and someone’s dead. Maybe I just need more practice, but for now, they’re at the bottom of my list.
- Restoration Shaman: Chain heal go brrr! These guys are fantastic in big groups. Their AoE healing is top-notch. However, they can struggle a bit with single-target healing, especially on heavy tank damage. Also need to watch for mana a bit.
- Holy Priest: They felt… okay. They have some powerful heals, but they lack the utility of some other healers, they are also easy to run out of mana, and they kind of felt middle-of-the-pack to me. Not bad, but not amazing either.
After weeks of this, I finally started to see some patterns. Some healers just felt inherently better suited for the current Mythic+ meta. Based on all my notes and my gut feeling, I put together a tier list. It’s not perfect, and it’ll probably change as the game gets updated.
Honestly, the best healer is the one you enjoy playing the most. But hopefully, my little experiment can give you some insight into how these healers perform in the current state of the game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a Mythic+ to run. Wish me luck!
