Okay, so today I wanna talk about how I got my Enchanting skill up in Classic WoW. It’s not as hard as you might think, but it does take some time and a bit of gold.
First off, I hit up the Enchanting trainer in one of the main cities. You gotta learn the basics, right? Once I got the initial training, I started gathering materials. This part was a little tedious. I spent a lot of time running around, killing mobs, and looting everything that wasn’t nailed down.
The key to leveling Enchanting is disenchanting items. Basically, you’re turning green, blue, and even purple gear into magical dust, essences, and shards. I started with the cheap green items I found or bought from vendors. Disenchanting these gives you the basic materials you need for the lower-level enchants.
- Collecting Stuff: I spent hours just running around and killing stuff. Anything that dropped green items was my target.
- Disenchanting: I turned all those green items into enchanting materials. It felt kind of wasteful at first, but it’s necessary.
- Making Enchants: Once I had enough materials, I started making simple enchants. I followed a guide I found online that listed which enchants to make at each level.

As I leveled up, I needed better materials. This meant I had to start disenchanting rarer items, the blue and purple ones. I managed to snag a few good pieces from dungeons. It was a good feeling, turning those hard-earned items into something even more valuable.
One thing that really helped me was using the Auction House. Sometimes, it was cheaper to just buy the materials I needed instead of farming them myself. Of course, this depends on your server’s economy, so your mileage may vary.
I also made sure to enchant my own gear whenever possible. Not only did this give me a nice stat boost, but it also helped me level up my skill a little faster. It’s a win-win situation!
