So, I finally got around to playing “God of War Ragnarök” on my PC. Yeah, I know, I’m a bit late to the party, but better late than never, right? I had to see what all the fuss was about. Since it landed on PC, I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I gotta say, it’s kinda cool launching these big PlayStation games right from my Steam library. Feels like a whole new world, you know? Anyway, I downloaded the game, which took a bit ’cause my internet’s not the fastest, and jumped right in.

The game’s got some neat PC-exclusive stuff. Like, you can play it in ultrawide, which is awesome. And, if you’re into it, mouse and keyboard are an option. I stuck with my controller, though, ’cause that’s how I roll with these types of games. Old habits die hard, I guess.
- Downloaded the game: Took a while, but got it done.
- Checked out the PC features: Ultrawide support is pretty sweet.
- Chose my controls: Stuck with the good ol’ controller.
I remember when the first “God of War” hit PC a couple of years back, it was a big deal for Steam Deck users. This one’s no different. Runs like a dream on that little machine. I don’t have one myself, but I heard it from a buddy who does.
Anyway, I started playing, and man, it’s a wild ride. Kratos and Atreus are back, and the story picks up a few years after the last game. I won’t spoil anything, but let’s just say things get pretty intense. The graphics are insane, by the way. Santa Monica really outdid themselves.
Getting into the Action
I spent hours just hacking and slashing through enemies. The combat is just so satisfying. And the puzzles? Don’t even get me started. Some of them had me scratching my head for a good while, but it’s all part of the fun, right?
So, yeah, that’s my experience with “God of War Ragnarök” on PC so far. It’s been a blast. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend giving it a go. And if you need any tips or just wanna chat about the game, hit me up. Always down for a good gaming session!
