Okay, so today I wanted to get into some ESO stuff, specifically about finding stone atronachs. I’ve been needing to farm these guys, not just any atronachs, but the stone ones for a specific in-game thing I’m working on. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey figuring out the best spots, so I figured I’d share what I found.
Got My Old Boon Back
First off, I tried something with the Mundus Stones. I thought, “Hey, maybe I can just switch my boon and then switch back, and it will count?” So, I zipped over to our guild hall because we’ve got all those fancy crafting stations and Mundus Stones. I picked a new boon, then immediately switched back to my old one.
The Achievement Grind
I also needed frost and storm atronachs for this Daedra Slayer achievement I’m gunning for. I initially thought Reaper’s March would be a good spot. I mean, it’s a popular zone, so it should be full of them, right? Wrong! Too many other players had the same idea. Every time I found a spot, it was packed, and I wasn’t getting the loot or experience I needed.
Willowgrove and Abamath
So I did some digging. Someone mentioned Willowgrove in Reaper’s March for frost, flame, and storm atronachs, and Abamath in Malabal Tor for flesh atronachs. I decided to focus on Willowgrove first since I already needed frost and storm types. It wasn’t as crowded, which was a nice change, but it still wasn’t perfect for my specific needs—stone atronachs.
Daily Endeavor Woes
Then came the real kicker. One of the daily endeavors popped up: “Destroy 1 stone atronach.” I thought, “Perfect, I’m already on this!” But then I read somewhere that they are not in Craglorn, which was confusing.
Farming Resources
While I was at it, I figured I’d multitask and farm some resources. I needed wood, so I was also scouting for good resource spots. It’s always good to be efficient, you know? Two birds, one stone, kind of thing.
The Aetherian Archive
Eventually, I stumbled upon some info about the Foundation Stone Atronach in the Aetherian Archive. This one’s a boss, so it’s not exactly what I was looking for in terms of easy farming, but it was an interesting find. Apparently, there are three stone atronachs around the arena that you need to take down because they hit hard. It was good to know, but not really helpful for my current goal.
The Search Continues
- Tried Mundus Stone swapping: No luck with the stone atronach count.
- Reaper’s March for other types: Too crowded for efficient farming.
- Willowgrove and Abamath: Good for other atronachs, but not the stone ones I needed.
- Daily endeavor: Highlighted my need but didn’t provide a solution.
- Resource farming: A good distraction but didn’t help with finding stone atronachs.
- Aetherian Archive: Interesting boss, but not what I was looking for.
