So, I wanted to mess around with Yasuo in TFT. I opened up the game and jumped into a match. My goal? Figure out what makes this guy tick in this game mode.
First off, I started grabbing items that I thought would be good on him. Stuff like items that give attack speed, you know, since he’s all about slicing and dicing. I also picked up items that boost his crit chance because, hey, who doesn’t love big crits?

During the game, I tried out a few different builds. One time, I went all-in on attack speed, stacking items like Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade. Yasuo was a blur, just slashing through enemies like a hot knife through butter. It was pretty fun to watch, but I felt like he was a bit squishy, you know? He’d go down pretty fast if he got focused.
Then I experimented with a more balanced build. I threw in a Hand of Justice, which gives a mix of attack damage, ability power, and that sweet, sweet Omnivamp. With the extra healing, he stuck around in fights a lot longer. I also used an Edge of Night. Man, that item is wild! Yasuo would drop to 60% health, disappear for a second, shake off any debuffs, and then come back swinging even faster. It totally saved him a bunch of times.
I also played around with team comps. The True Damage trait seemed pretty cool, especially with Yasuo. It gives bonus true damage, and if the champs have an item, they get a “Bling Bonus.” I managed to get to 6 True Damage a couple of times. It was nuts! Yasuo just melted through enemies, especially with that true damage boost. I even hit 9 True Damage once, and the Bling Bonuses went “Platinum” or something. It was pretty wild. Yasuo was unstoppable.
- Hand of Justice: Seemed pretty decent. Gave him a bit of everything, and that Omnivamp kept him alive.
- Edge of Night: Super clutch! That brief invulnerability and attack speed boost after it procced were lifesavers.
- Attack Speed Items: Good for raw damage, but I felt like he needed something more to survive.
After a bunch of games, I think the best build for Yasuo is a mix of attack speed, crit chance, and some survivability. You want him to deal damage, obviously, but he also needs to last long enough to do his thing. Hand of Justice and Edge of Night seem like core items to me. The rest you can kind of adjust based on what you’re facing and what the game throws at you. Oh, and True Damage Yasuo? Totally worth trying. It’s a blast!
In the end, I had a lot of fun experimenting with Yasuo. He’s a strong unit with a lot of potential, and it was cool to figure out different ways to make him shine. I’m definitely going to keep playing him and see if I can refine these builds even more. Maybe I’ll even try to climb the ranked ladder with him. Who knows?
