Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Pokemon Go lately, and let me tell you, Chandelure is a beast! I wanted to figure out the best moveset for this bad boy, so I did some digging and a lot of battling.
First, I tried out a bunch of different moves. Chandelure can learn Fire Spin, Hex, and Incinerate as its fast attack. These moves are important, because they are what you will be using the most. I started with Fire Spin because I figured it’s a solid fire-type move, right? It worked okay, but it wasn’t anything special. The damage output with this fast move was a little on the low side for my taste. The energy generation was decent, but I think Chandelure deserves better.
Then I switched to Hex. The damage was still okay, but this move generated way more energy! This meant I could use my charged attacks more often, which was a big plus. After a few battles using this, I can confidently say that this was a good move, but not exactly what I was looking for.
Finally, I tried Incinerate. It was like hitting the jackpot! This move does a ton of damage, and it still generated a good amount of energy! I think I found my favorite fast move for Chandelure!
For the charged attacks, I tested out Overheat and Shadow Ball. Overheat is a powerhouse when it comes to fire damage. It totally melts through opponents. It does use up a lot of energy though, so it is important to make sure you are generating enough energy with your fast attack to use this move frequently. Shadow Ball is a great ghost-type move. It doesn’t hit quite as hard as Overheat, but it’s still super effective against a lot of Pokemon. It also requires less energy, which is great when up against a tough opponent.
- For Raids (Fire-type): I found that Fire Spin and Overheat worked best. It’s all about that fire damage, and this combo dishes it out big time.
- For Raids (Ghost-type): Hex and Shadow Ball were my go-to. Hex charges up Shadow Ball quickly, so you can spam it pretty often.
- For PvP: This is where things got tricky. After countless battles, I settled on Incinerate as the fast attack, and it was a close call, but I decided to keep Shadow Ball as the charged attack. That energy generation from Incinerate is just too good to pass up, and Shadow Ball offers more consistent damage.
So there you have it, my journey to finding Chandelure’s best moveset. It took some trial and error, but I’m pretty happy with what I came up with. Chandelure is now a regular in my raid and PvP teams, and it’s been crushing it! Remember that this worked for me, but you can always mess around with the moves and find out what works best for you!
