Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole “scenic painting” thing in Animal Crossing. I’m a huge fan of the game, and I’ve been trying to get my art gallery in the museum all filled up. It’s a real pain, let me tell you!
So, this shady fox named Redd, he shows up on your island sometimes in his little boat – the “Treasure Trawler” they call it. He’s got all these paintings and statues, but you gotta watch out, ’cause some of them are total fakes. I learned that the hard way, spent a bunch of bells on what I thought was a masterpiece, only to have Blathers at the museum tell me it was a forgery. Ugh, the nerve of that fox!
Anyway, I’ve been on the hunt for this one painting, the “scenic painting.” It’s apparently part of that art collection. It has no forgery. It is always genuine. I heard that Redd sells it, either on his boat or sometimes at his little shop on Harv’s Island. That fox has a shop everywhere! Every time I see his boat I rush over to buy art.
Here’s what I do:
- Check the map: First thing, I always check my map to see if Redd’s boat is docked at the secret beach up north. It’s a bit of a trek, but it’s worth it if he’s there.
- Visit Harv’s Island: If he’s not at my island, I head over to Harv’s Island. Sometimes Redd sets up shop there, and you can buy from him directly.
- Inspect the goods: When I find Redd, I always take a good look at the art. I learned there’s this whole thing online, guides and stuff, that tell you how to spot the fakes. But this scenic painting is always genuine.
- Buy it up: If I see the scenic painting, I buy it right away! Each piece is usually around 4,980 Bells, which isn’t too bad, considering how much work it is to find the real deal.
Honestly, it’s been a bit of a grind, checking every time Redd shows up, hoping to find that scenic painting. But, I’m determined to complete my art gallery. It’s like a personal challenge, you know? And who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to spot all the fakes myself, without needing those online guides. A guy can dream, right?
The Payoff
After a lot of searching, I finally got it! The scenic painting! I bought it from Redd and donated it to the museum. Seeing it hanging there, alongside all the other art I’ve collected, it’s a pretty great feeling. Now I can just relax and enjoy my almost-complete art gallery. It’s a nice reminder that even in a chill game like Animal Crossing, a little bit of effort can go a long way. It really makes my island feel more like home. It is so cool!
