Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this cat champion, Yuumi, in League of Legends, and let me tell you, figuring out who she works well with has been a wild ride. At first, I was just slapping her onto any ADC I felt like playing, thinking, “Oh, she’s a support, she’ll make anyone better.” Boy, was I wrong.
I started noticing some ADCs just didn’t feel right with her. Like, we weren’t clicking. Then it hit me – synergy is key! So, I started paying more attention to who I was pairing her with.

Phase 1: The “Speedy Gonzales” Phase
I figured, since Yuumi can speed people up with her E, maybe she’d be good with champions who are slow but hit hard. I tried her with a few top laners, like Sett. The idea was to let Sett run in, get close, and then start smashing. It kinda worked, but it wasn’t anything special. Sett’s already got some ways to get in close, so Yuumi’s speed boost wasn’t game-changing.

Phase 2: The “Root ‘Em Down” Phase
Then I thought about her ultimate, which can root enemies. Maybe she’d be good with champions who need enemies to stay put. That’s when I tried her with Karma. Karma’s W needs her to stay connected to an enemy, and Yuumi’s speed boost could help with that. Plus, the double root potential with Karma’s W and Yuumi’s R sounded nasty. It was better than the Sett experiment, but still not the perfect combo.

Phase 3: The “Bot Lane Blues” Phase
Back to the bot lane I went, trying different ADCs. I learned the hard way that champions with hooks are a nightmare for Yuumi. Getting hooked means she can’t use her passive as easily or escape. Champions like Leona, who can hook through minions, were especially tough to deal with. It was rough.

Phase 4: The “Zeri Zinger” Phase
Finally, I stumbled upon Zeri. Now, this felt like a match made in heaven. Zeri loves those support buffs, and Yuumi provides plenty of that. Speed boosts, heals, and a root to keep enemies in place for Zeri to zap. This combo felt strong. Like, really strong.

Phase 5: The “Ezreal Escape” Phase
Another duo I really liked is with Ezreal, It’s also fun to play with. It’s like they can help each other. Yuumi gives Ezreal some extra sustain that he lacks in the early game. And when things get rough, they can both escape pretty easily.
So, after all this experimenting, I think I’ve cracked the code, at least a little bit. Yuumi shines with champions who benefit from her speed boosts and who can make use of her root. Zeri and Ezreal, at least for me, are the top picks to play with Yuumi. It’s been a fun, frustrating, but ultimately rewarding learning experience. And hey, I’m still learning, so maybe I’ll find even more awesome Yuumi synergies down the line!
