Alright, let’s talk about this Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual thing in Genshin Impact. I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started this whole questline in the Araumi area of Inazuma, specifically on Narukami Island. It’s part of the 2.0 update, so if you haven’t updated your game, you might want to do that first.
Starting the Quest
First, I had to unlock the quest. It’s a World Quest, and it’s pretty important if you want to explore Narukami Island properly. There are these barriers all over the place, and this quest is the key to removing them. So I went to find these barriers.

Dealing with Barriers
The first barrier I dealt with was near Kamisato Estate. I found it, you can’t miss it, it’s pretty obvious. Then I had to figure out how to remove it. I found some guides online, not going to lie, and they were pretty helpful. I did what they told me to do.
The Memento Lens
Then came the part that really threw me for a loop. I had to head over to the Grand Narukami Shrine. It’s up on Mt. Yougou, so get ready for a bit of a climb. I went there. I was looking for a shrine maiden. Found her, talked to her and she gave me this thing called the Memento Lens. It’s super important, so don’t lose it.
Destroying Barriers
With the Memento Lens in hand, I went back to Araumi. It is time to remove the barrier. Used the lens, figured out the puzzle, you know, the usual Genshin stuff, and boom, the barrier was gone. It felt pretty good, I won’t lie.
- Went to Araumi to start the quest.
- Found the barrier near Kamisato Estate.
- Got the Memento Lens from the shrine maiden at the Grand Narukami Shrine.
- Used the Memento Lens to get rid of the barrier in Araumi.
So yeah, that’s basically how I went through the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual in Araumi. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it. Now I can explore that part of Narukami Island without any annoying barriers in my way. If you’re stuck on any part of this quest, just keep looking around, use the Memento Lens, and you’ll figure it out. Good luck!
