Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this Genshin Impact Nendoroid of Zhongli for a while now. You know, the consultant from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor? Yeah, that guy. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one.
I started by looking up when it was going to be released. Turns out, it’s not coming out until May 2025! But pre-orders were announced on September 30, 2024, so I jumped on that as soon as possible.
Then I started digging into what comes with it. This little guy is packed with details. It seems like he comes with three different face plates. One is just his standard, stoic look, then there’s one where he looks like he’s thinking really hard about something, you know his contemplative face.
- Standard face – Just his usual, calm expression.
- Contemplative face – That look he gets when he’s pondering the mysteries of the universe.
And get this, he also comes with his signature weapon, the Vortex Vanquisher! How cool is that? I’m already imagining all the poses I can put him in. And it looks like they even included his Exuvia and the Planet Befall, which is awesome. I started to assemble the optional parts, such as his signature Vortex Vanquisher and his Exuvia. It was a little tricky, but I managed to get everything in place.
It seems like there are a bunch of other little accessories too, I guess to help recreate some of his iconic poses and scenes from the game. I also tried out different combinations of face plates and accessories, switching between his standard face and his contemplative face, and adding or removing the Vortex Vanquisher as I saw fit.
Setting Up the Display
Once I had Zhongli fully assembled, I moved on to setting up the display. I cleared a spot on my shelf, carefully wiped down the area. Then I placed Zhongli in the center, adjusting his pose and the position of his weapon until I was satisfied with the look. I experimented with different angles and lighting, to see how they affected the overall appearance of the display.
I’m not a hardcore collector or anything, but I really like how this Zhongli Nendoroid looks. It’s a pretty good representation of his character from the game, all calm and wise. If you’re a big Genshin fan, especially if you like Zhongli, I think you’d really like this. It’s a neat little collectible.
