Okay, so I wanted to play some old-school “Call of Duty: Black Ops” the other day. You know, get that nostalgia fix. But man, it was a pain to get the servers working. I figured I’d share my experience here, just in case anyone else is struggling with this.
First off, I tried just jumping right in. You know, the usual way. Booted up the game, went to multiplayer, and… nothing. It just wouldn’t connect. Kept giving me some error message about the servers being down. I was bummed, to say the least.

So, I started digging around online. Found a bunch of forum posts and articles, but honestly, a lot of it was confusing jargon. But then,I found out a way to join the game by using Quick Join. I tried it and it could enter the game.
I kept poking around, and I stumbled upon something about Radmin 加速器. Turns out, this was a key player in getting things to work. I downloaded and installed it, which was pretty straightforward. It’s a free program, so that’s a plus.
After installing Radmin 加速器, I opened it up. I found many networks in the “Network” list, and joined a random “Call of Duty: Black Ops” network I saw in the window.
Then I found another tip online about messing with the game’s config file. I mean config file! There’s a file called “*” in the game folder. You can open it with a basic text editor.
But before that, I tried the firewall thing. I opened up the Windows Defender Firewall settings. I clicked on “Advanced settings” and then messed around with the inbound and outbound rules.
Finally, I launched the game again. This time, boom! It connected. I was in! I could finally play some good old “Black Ops.” It was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it in the end. Just goes to show, a little persistence (and a lot of Googling) can go a long way. Hope this helps someone out there!
It was quite a night! Hope my sharing helps all of you guys who wanna play this old game!
