Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with different setups for the F1 24 game, specifically for the Australian Grand Prix. Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I mean, I am not a pro racer, just a guy who loves racing games and I started playing for fun.
I started with the default setup, you know, the one the game gives you. It wasn’t bad, but I felt like I could get more out of the car. It’s just not enough. So I started doing some research online. But I couldn’t find any related information about it. The only thing I can do is by myself. I spent a lot of time on it.

I experimented with a whole bunch of different things. Changed the downforce, tweaked the suspension, messed with the tire pressures. You name it, I probably tried it. I kept detailed notes of each change and how it affected the car’s performance. It was kind of fun, but mostly frustrating. I must record everything I did so that I could go back to check if I got confused.
There were times when I thought I had it figured out. I’d get a setup that felt good, but then my lap times wouldn’t be any better. It was like taking one step forward and two steps back. I felt like I was going in circles, but I kept at it. I am not giving up. I wanna see what I can do with this car and track.
Finally, after hours and hours of testing, I started to see some progress. I started with the aerodynamics. I increased the front wing angle a bit to get more grip in the corners. I realized that I should not change too many things at one time. Then, I lowered the rear ride height to reduce drag on the straights. I was still having trouble. A little bit frustrated. But I didn’t want to give up.
I also played around with the suspension. I softened the front suspension a bit to help with the bumps and kerbs around the track. And I stiffened the rear anti-roll bar to improve stability during quick changes of direction. After changing these, the car felt a little bit better. It’s becoming easier to control.
The last piece of the puzzle was the tire pressures. I found that running slightly lower pressures in the rear tires helped with traction out of the slower corners. I have tried many different combinations of tire pressure. And the car felt much better after these changes.
Here’s what I ended up with:
- Aerodynamics: Increased front wing angle, lowered rear ride height.
- Suspension: Softened front suspension, stiffened rear anti-roll bar.
- Tire Pressures: Slightly lower pressures in the rear tires.
With this setup, I was finally able to get some consistent lap times. I even managed to set a new personal best! It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. It was like a brand-new car. I couldn’t believe it. I really made it by myself. I’m so happy about it. Maybe I should try other tracks next time.
So, if you’re struggling with the Australian Grand Prix in F1 24, give my setup a try. It might not be perfect, but it’s a good starting point. And remember, don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you. Happy racing!
