Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, and I’ve become obsessed with collecting all the art for my museum. You know, gotta make Blathers proud, right?
Anyways, I was really trying to find this one piece called the “Warm Painting.” I heard from somewhere that it’s always genuine when Redd, that sly fox, sells it. So, I’m thinking, “Sweet, easy peasy!” But, man, was I in for a ride.

First off, getting Redd to show up on my island was a whole ordeal in itself. I was running around every day, checking the secret beach, hoping to see his little boat. Days turned into weeks, and I was starting to lose hope. My island was starting to feel like a Redd-less wasteland.
Then, finally, one glorious morning, I spotted it – Redd’s boat! I practically sprinted to the back of my island, heart pounding with excitement. I climbed aboard, ready to snag that Warm Painting and any other piece of real art he had.
Redd’s Shady Dealings
Inside his boat, it was dim and kind of creepy, but there they were, all these paintings and statues. My eyes immediately scanned for the Warm Painting. It was the one with the lady dressed in a white gown.
But here’s the thing: Redd’s a bit of a trickster. He sells both real and fake art, and telling them apart can be a real pain. Luckily, I had done some digging online and learned that the Warm Painting is always genuine, so I didn’t need to look for differences! I also knew the real painting I was looking at was called “La maja vestida” by some old-timey artist, Francisco de Goya.
I bought the Warm Painting, along with a couple of other pieces that I hoped were real. I even grabbed some fakes, because why not? If I get stuck with the fakes, I could throw them out with the trash can. I had to wait an agonizing day for the painting to arrive in the mail. Talk about torture!
The Big Reveal
The next day, I ripped open that package like it was my birthday. There it was, the Warm Painting, in all its glory! I raced to the museum, donated it to Blathers, and bam! Another masterpiece added to my collection.

Here’s what I did, step by step:
- Waited (and waited) for Redd to show up.
- Checked his boat for the Warm Painting.
- Bought the painting (and other art, just in case).
- Waited for the painting to be delivered.
- Donated the Warm Painting to the museum.
- Celebrated my victory!
So yeah, that’s my story of how I finally got the Warm Painting in Animal Crossing. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it in the end. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got more art to hunt down. Wish me luck!
