Alright, so, I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately. It’s such a chill game, you know? Anyway, I’ve been trying to complete my art collection at the museum, and there’s this one piece I’ve been eyeing – the “warm painting”.
So, this shady fox named Redd comes to your island every now and then with his boat, the “Treasure Trawler,” selling all sorts of art, and some of them are forgeries. You gotta be careful not to get ripped off.

The first time I saw Redd, I bought a piece that turned out to be fake. Bummer, right? It’s not like you can just sell the forgeries to Nook’s Cranny either. They’re onto Redd’s tricks.
I did some digging online. It seemed like “warm painting” is always real. That was a relief, one less thing to worry about.
Anyway, I finally got Redd to show up on my island again the other day. I hopped onto his boat, and sure enough, he had the “warm painting.” I snatched it up real quick. Even though I know it is real this time, I still feel a little bit nervous to go to the museum. I guess I was just afraid that I did something wrong.
Blathers, the owl who runs the museum, he confirmed it was the real deal! Yes! The “warm painting” is actually “The Clothed Maja” by Francisco de Goya. Looks pretty neat in the museum, if I do say so myself.
Now my art collection is one step closer to being complete. I just wanted to share my little adventure. It’s the small victories, you know? It’s not like I can see Redd everyday. It takes so long for him to come back again. I even feel like I spent months waiting for him to come. Everytime I see his boat, I feel like I just won a lottery.
I just hope I can keep up with my collection and fill up my museum. I think I still have a long way to go, but I think this is totally doable. I will keep updating you guys about my art collection journey.
