Okay, so, I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, you know, just chilling and building my island. And then, I had this crazy idea – I wanted to get my hands on that “Wild Painting Left Half” from Redd. It’s one of those art pieces that can be tricky to find, and even trickier to tell if it’s the real deal or a fake.
First off, I started checking in on Redd whenever he showed up on his little boat at the secret beach. The guy’s a total mystery, and his inventory is always changing. I visited him, like, a dozen times, hoping to get lucky. No dice. I got a bunch of other paintings, some real, some fake, but not the one I was after.

Then, I thought, maybe I could try some time traveling. I’ve heard people do it. So, I messed with my Switch’s clock, jumping forward day by day, and checking Redd’s boat each time. It felt kinda weird, messing with time like that, but I was determined. Still, no “Wild Painting Left Half.” It was like the game knew what I was doing and was just messing with me.
Next, I hit up some online forums and communities. I figured, maybe someone out there has an extra one they’d be willing to trade. I posted in a few places, offering up some of my own art or bells, whatever they wanted. I got a few responses, but nothing solid. It seemed like everyone was after this painting.
After that, I decided to take a more passive approach. I just kept playing the game normally, enjoying my island life, and keeping an eye out for Redd whenever he appeared. I figured, maybe if I stopped trying so hard, it would just magically show up. You know, like when you lose your keys and they’re the last place you look?
Finally, after weeks of searching, I couldn’t find this painting. It was starting to feel like a myth. I didn’t give up, but I did take some days break.
So, I just kept playing, kept checking, and kept hoping. That’s where I’m at now. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m still on the hunt. Wish me luck! I know if I just keep looking, one day I will find this one. I won’t give up. It is just a matter of time.
