Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Madden 24, trying to get the XP sliders just right. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you. I started off just diving in, playing games, and seeing how fast my players were leveling up. Honestly, it felt kinda slow at first. I was barely seeing any progress after a few games, and it just wasn’t that fun.
So, I did what any sane person would do – I hit up the internet. I found all sorts of posts about the “best” slider settings. Some folks swore by raising the XP gains for certain positions, others were all about lowering them. It was a mess, and I had to figure out what works for me.

My Experimenting Phase
This is where things got interesting. I created a new Franchise mode specifically for testing. I started tweaking the sliders, one position group at a time. I’d boost the XP for quarterbacks, play a few games, and see how they progressed. Then I’d reset, try a different setting, and do it all over again.
-
First, I jacked up the XP for all positions to 200%. Played a few games. Way too fast. Everyone was a superstar in no time. It felt so unrealistic.
-
Next, I tried dropping everything super low, like 50% across the board. Snoozefest. It felt like my players were stuck in the mud, barely improving at all.
-
Then came the fine-tuning. I started playing with individual positions. Bumped up QBs a bit, since they’re so crucial. Left running backs and wide receivers around the default. Tinkered with the defensive positions, too. Linemen needed a boost, I found.
After countless games and a whole lot of trial and error, I think I’ve finally found a sweet spot. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll keep adjusting things as I go. But right now, it feels pretty good. My players are progressing at a decent rate, but it’s not so fast that it breaks the game. It actually feels like they’re earning their improvements, which is what I was going for. It is a great sense of accomplishment when I saw my efforts were not in vain.
My biggest takeaway from this whole experience? There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It really depends on your own playstyle and what you’re looking for in your Madden experience. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you. And definitely don’t just blindly copy someone else’s slider settings without putting in the work to see if they actually make the game more enjoyable for you.
So, yeah, that’s my Madden 24 XP slider saga. Hope this helps some of you out there who are also struggling to find the right balance. Keep grinding, keep tweaking, and most importantly, have fun!
