Alright, so I’ve been trying to figure out the best moveset for my Snorlax in Pokemon Go. This big guy has been a favorite of mine, and I wanted to make sure I was using him to his full potential. I spent a few days on this, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First, I started by just playing the game as usual, catching a few Snorlax here and there. I noticed that some seemed to perform better in battles than others, but I wasn’t sure why. So I decided to dive into some online forums and see what other players were saying.

I found a bunch of different opinions. Some people swore by Zen Headbutt, saying it was the strongest. Others were all about Lick. And for the charge moves, it was even more confusing! Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Superpower – everyone had their favorite.
After reading through tons of posts, I decided to do some experimenting. I powered up a few of my Snorlax with different move combinations and started battling. I battled in gyms, I battled against friends, I even took on some raid bosses. I kept track of how each Snorlax performed, how much damage they dealt, and how quickly they charged up their special moves.
My Testing Process
- Catch multiple Snorlax.
- Power up a few with different move combinations.
- Battle in gyms, raids, and against friends.
- Record the damage output and charge move speed.
- Compare the results to see which moveset performed best.
It was a lot of trial and error, but I finally started to see a pattern. It looked like Lick was the way to go for the fast move. It might not be the strongest, but it’s fast and lets you use your charge move more often. Speaking of charge moves, Hyper Beam seemed good, but Body Slam was even better! It charges up so quickly, and you can use it a lot in battle. This was my personal feeling. But one thing I’m sure of is that Zen Headbutt is not a good choice, although some people like it.
So, after all that testing, I settled on Lick and Body Slam for my Snorlax. It might not be what everyone else is using, but it’s been working great for me. My Snorlax is now a beast in battles, and I’m having a lot more fun with the game.
Of course, this is just my experience. You might find that a different moveset works better for you. But if you’re struggling to figure out what to do with your Snorlax, give Lick and Body Slam a try. You might be surprised at how well they work! And remember, the most important thing is to have fun and experiment until you find what works best for you. This is just my two cents, so take it with a grain of salt!
