Okay, here’s my experience about the League of Legends rank reset for 2024.
So, I’ve been grinding it out on League of Legends lately, right? Trying to climb that ranked ladder, you know how it is. Two weeks ago, I was stuck in Bronze 3. I decided, “No more!” I buckled down, played my heart out, and just yesterday, I finally hit Gold! And guess what? I did it with a 60% win rate. Pretty sweet, huh?
But then, that’s when my friend told me about the rank reset, and I was like, “Wait, what? When is this happening?” I went straight to my profile screen, to the Ranked tab, as he said. Nothing there. And I heard rumors that it was going to happen multiple times in a year. That got me kinda worried because, honestly, resetting ranks three times a year? That sounds rough. It feels like they’re just messing with people who care a lot about their rank. I mean, I know I do.
So, I did some digging. I looked around, trying to find out when this dreaded reset was coming. Turns out, Riot Games made a blog post. It says there will be some big changes in 2025, like three thematic splits and some new Elite monster. And guess what? They mentioned there will be only one rank reset in 2025. What a relief! I found out it’s going to happen on January 6, 2025. I also saw something about annual Ranked years with three seasons, and the first one starts in January. That’s good to know. It’s like they’re giving us a chance to track our progress and get some rewards along the way.
Speaking of rewards, there’s something about Season 2024 Split 2 rewards. It sounds like we’ll get some cool stuff just by playing. That’s pretty cool, I guess. But, yeah, the main thing is that the rank reset is not as frequent as I thought it would be.

Man, this whole rank thing in League is a rollercoaster. But hey, at least now I know what’s up with the reset. I can prepare myself for it and start grinding again. Time to get back in the game!
