Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “Flames of Oblivion” thing in ESO, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Started out pretty chill, you know? Just wandering around, doing some quests, the usual stuff. I was feeling pretty good, got some decent gear, leveled up a bit, thought I was hot stuff. Then I started running into these world bosses.
Man, these things are no joke. I remember the first time I stumbled upon one, I was like, “Oh, a big baddie, I can take him.” Boy, was I wrong. Got my butt handed to me in like two seconds flat. It was rough. These new Necrom bosses are crazy, especially the Walking Nightmare. He wiped me out so many times I lost count.

But, you know what? I’m stubborn. I don’t like to lose. So, I started doing some digging, figured out what I was doing wrong. Turns out, there’s a whole bunch of these bosses all over the place. There’s like, delve bosses, world bosses, these public dungeon things, even group dungeons and trial bosses. It’s a lot.
- Delve bosses: These guys are hiding in caves and stuff. Some are easy, some are tough.
- World bosses: These are the big ones, the ones that wrecked me at first. They roam around certain areas.
- Public dungeon bosses: These are like mini-dungeons you can do with other people.
- Group dungeon bosses: These are in actual dungeons, and you definitely need a group for these.
- Trial bosses: I haven’t even tried these yet, but I hear they’re the hardest of the hard.
I started with the non-repeatable quest bosses. Figured those would be a good place to start. And yeah, they were tough, but I managed to beat them. Learned a lot about my class, my skills, and how to actually, you know, not die immediately.
High Isle Bosses
I spent a good chunk of time in High Isle, and let me tell you, those bosses are something else. Each one has their own little tricks, their own mechanics. You gotta learn their patterns, figure out when to dodge, when to block, when to unleash all your skills. It took some time, I won’t lie. A lot of trial and error. A lot of running back to my corpse. But, eventually, I got them. I beat them all.
Now, I’m not saying I’m some kind of ESO master or anything. I still get my butt kicked sometimes. But I’m definitely better than I was. I can handle most of the world bosses now, even some of the harder ones. And I’m working my way up to those trial bosses. Those things scare me, not gonna lie. I heard to do the speed run you need crazy damage and a really tight-knit group. But hey, I’m up for the challenge.
So yeah, that’s my “Flames of Oblivion” story so far. It’s been tough, it’s been frustrating, but it’s also been a lot of fun. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m still learning. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll be good enough to carry some newbies through those trial bosses myself. We’ll see.
