Okay, so, I was messing around with this new set, Wilds of Eldraine, and I really wanted to try and make the logo myself. I saw some folks talking about it online, saying it’s a “fast but balanced” set with a bunch of different ways to play. Sounds cool, right?
First, I needed to get a good look at the actual logo. I looked around, found some images, and just kind of studied it. You know, the colors, the font, the whole shebang. It’s got this fairy tale vibe, kinda whimsical but also a bit dark, which I dig.

Next, I fired up my trusty old image editor. It’s not the fanciest thing, but it gets the job done. Started with a simple background, nothing too crazy. Then came the hard part – the text. I tried a bunch of different fonts, trying to find one that matched the original. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. Some were too plain, others too fancy.
After what felt like hours, I finally found a font that was close enough. It wasn’t a perfect match, but it had the right feel. I typed out “Wilds of Eldraine,” played around with the size and spacing until it looked right.
Color time! This was actually kinda fun. I used the eyedropper tool to pick out the colors from the original logo and applied them to my text. There’s this gradient thing going on in the original, which was a bit tricky to replicate. But I messed around with the gradient tool, tweaked the settings, and eventually got something that looked pretty decent.
- Find reference images of the logo.
- Open image editor.
- Create a basic background.
- Experiment with fonts to find a close match.
- Type out “Wilds of Eldraine” and adjust size/spacing.
- Use eyedropper tool to get colors from the original.
- Apply colors to the text, trying to match the gradient.
- Add any extra details or effects as needed.
The original logo has these little details, like vines and stuff, around the text. I tried adding some of those, but it started to look cluttered. So I decided to keep it simple, just the text with the right colors and font.
And you know what? It actually turned out pretty good! It’s not an exact replica, but it captures the essence of the Wilds of Eldraine logo. I’m pretty proud of it, to be honest. It was a fun little project, and it taught me a thing or two about image editing.
So, yeah, that’s how I spent my afternoon – recreating a card game logo. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed it. Maybe I’ll try making some custom card designs next. Who knows!
