Okay, here is a blog post about my experience getting Forge variants in Marvel Snap:
So, I’ve been grinding away at Marvel Snap lately, mostly because I really wanted some of those sweet Forge variants. I mean, who wouldn’t? The dude’s a classic, and some of his alternate looks are just too cool to pass up. The thing is, it’s not as simple as just buying them outright. You gotta get lucky with the Collection Level track, and let me tell you, it’s a bit of a journey.

I started out like everyone else, unlocking the starter cards, playing matches, and slowly climbing up the Collection Level. It was fun at first, learning the ropes and trying out different decks. I knew from reading online that Forge variants are in later pools, so I did not see him coming quickly.
First you get a bunch of starter cards, you know the usual suspects. And then there are 3 other groups called Pools. Pool 1 you get from level 18 to 214. Pool 2 is from level 222 to level 474. I was not sure about pool 3 but that was far away from where I was at the time.
I kept at it, day in and day out. Completing missions, upgrading cards, and slowly but surely inching my way up the Collection Level track. It felt like forever, but eventually, I hit Collection Level 18. Finally, I reached it and started to unlock Pool 1 cards. I was hyped, thinking I’d get a Forge variant right away, but nope. More new cards, some of them cool, some of them not so much, but no Forge.
This is where my memory gets a little fuzzy but I did not stop. I played a ton, and finally moved to Collection Level 222. Time to unlock Pool 2 cards! Still no Forge.
Finally, after playing for what felt like months, I unlocked some new variants. And one of them was a Forge variant! It was the Jim Lee one, and it was glorious. All that grinding, all that waiting, it was all worth it.
But I didn’t stop there. I knew there were other Forge variants out there – X-Force, Steampunk, Mechanic, Chibi. So I kept going.
More playing, more leveling up, more variants. I eventually snagged the X-Force one, which is probably my favorite. It just looks so tough.
Forge Variant Collection
Here’s a quick rundown of the Forge variants I’ve managed to collect so far:
- Jim Lee – Got this one first, and it’s a classic.
- X-Force – My personal favorite, super badass.
I’m still on the hunt for the others, but I know it’s just a matter of time. The grind is real, but for me, it’s all part of the fun. And hey, when you finally unlock that variant you’ve been chasing, it’s a pretty awesome feeling.
