So, I’ve been grinding in 2K24 lately, trying to get my game up, you know? And I stumbled upon this thing called “Pro Touch.” I heard some folks talking about it in the community, and I was like, “What’s that all about?”
At first, I was struggling to get the hang of it. I hopped into a few games, went for some layups, and kept messing up the timing. It was frustrating, to say the least. I mean, you gotta time it just right, or you’ll blow the shot. And with those defenders all over you, it’s not a walk in the park.
But I’m not one to back down from a challenge. I spent some time in the practice gym, just working on layups. Up and under, reverses, floaters – you name it. I tried different button combinations, holding the stick in different directions, just trying to figure out what worked.
- First attempt: I went straight into a game, tried to do a fancy layup, and got blocked. Ouch.
- Practice time: Headed to the gym, spent hours just shooting around, trying to get the feel for the timing.
- Experimentation: Tried pressing square, holding it, tapping it, holding the stick left, right, up, down… It was a lot of trial and error.
- Eureka!: Finally started getting the timing down. I started to get some green releases on my layups, which means they were timed perfectly.
- Back to the games: Went into another game, and boom! Started hitting those layups more consistently. Even managed to get a few “And 1s” with the Pro Touch.
Some key moments of my practice:
It took a while, but I finally started to see some results. I noticed that if I released the stick or button at the right moment, right before my player released the ball, I’d get a boost on the shot. It was like a little “green light” that popped up, telling me I nailed it. And when I saw that green, I knew the shot had a much better chance of going in.
Once I got the hang of the timing, I started using it in games, and it was a game-changer. I was able to finish at the rim more consistently, even when there were defenders draped all over me. It gave me that extra edge I needed to be a better scorer.
Now, I’m not saying I’m a Pro Touch master or anything. I still mess up sometimes. But it’s definitely something I’ve added to my arsenal, and it’s made me a tougher player to guard. It just goes to show that a little practice and persistence can go a long way in this game.
If you’re struggling with layups in 2K24, I’d definitely recommend giving Pro Touch a try. It might take some time to get used to, but once you get it down, it can really elevate your game. Just remember to be patient, keep practicing, and don’t be afraid to experiment. You’ll get there!
