Today, I wanna talk about my experience with “Pro Touch” in 2k24. I mean, this thing, it’s been a real game-changer for me, seriously. I’ve been grinding, trying to get my shooting down, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
Getting Started
So, first off, I jumped into MyCareer. I figured, gotta start somewhere, right? I created my player, picked my position – shooting guard, obviously – and started playing games. At first, I was bricking everything. My timing was off, my shots were all over the place, and I was getting frustrated, to be honest. But I knew I had to keep at it.

I started paying more attention to the shot meter. In previous games, I kinda ignored it, just going by feel. But in 2k24, that meter is crucial. I started focusing on releasing the ball right when the meter hit that sweet spot in the green. It took some time, but I started noticing improvements. My shots were falling more often, and my confidence started to grow.
Practice Makes Perfect
But just playing games wasn’t enough. I knew I needed dedicated practice. So, I headed over to the Team Practice Facility. This place is a lifesaver. I spent hours just shooting around, working on my form, my release, everything.
- Free Throw Golf: This drill was surprisingly helpful. It helped me get my timing down, especially under pressure.
- Corner Threes: This one was tough, but it really helped me with my consistency.
- Gatorade Reaction Time Drills: This drill was really tough, It helped me improve my reaction time when release the ball.
I also started experimenting with different shooting badges. “Pro Touch” was one of the first ones I unlocked, and it made a noticeable difference. It gave me that extra boost when my timing wasn’t perfect, which happens a lot when you’re starting out. Then I realized I need to upgrade it to hall of fame, so I started to do all the things I mentioned above again and again, which took me a whole night to upgrade it. But it really worked!
Seeing Results
After weeks of grinding, I finally started seeing real results. My shooting percentage went up, I was hitting more clutch shots, and I was actually having fun playing the game. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. Now my player has a 95 three-point rating, and 87 mid-range rating. He is literally the best shooter.
So, if you’re struggling with your shooting in 2k24, don’t give up. Keep practicing, pay attention to that shot meter, and experiment with different badges, especially “Pro Touch”. And remember, it takes time. You’re not gonna become Steph Curry overnight. Just stay patient, keep working, and you’ll get there. Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it too.
And to be honest, that’s how I made it. Now I am thinking maybe I should try to attend the NBA draft in the game. Let me tell you if I make it some day!
