Man, I’ve been grinding hard in Marvel Snap lately, and I gotta share my experience with this Scarlet Witch deck I’ve been messing around with. So, I got this idea in my head to build a deck all about messing with locations, you know? And who’s better at that than Scarlet Witch?
I started out by throwing Scarlet Witch into a deck with a bunch of other cards that I thought could be cool with her. Stuff like Storm, to lock down a location, and Rhino, in case I needed another way to change things up. But it just wasn’t clicking, you know? I was winning some, losing some, but it didn’t feel like I was really onto something special.
Then, I had this crazy idea: what if I just leaned all the way into the location changing thing? I mean, really go for it. So, I started looking for cards that would let me play Scarlet Witch more than once. Odin seemed like a good fit, since he can re-trigger her ability. And then there’s Absorbing Man, who can copy her ability altogether. Now we’re talking!
- Scarlet Witch: The star of the show, obviously.
- Odin: To make her do her thing again.
- Absorbing Man: In case I needed a backup Scarlet Witch.
I started playing this new version of the deck, and let me tell you, it was wild. I was changing locations left and right, driving my opponents crazy. Sometimes I’d hit Worldship, which would just reset the whole board, and that was always a good laugh. Other times, I’d just mess up their plans by changing a location they really needed.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were games where I just couldn’t get the combo going, or my opponent had a counter that I wasn’t expecting. I definitely need to do some more testing, and maybe tweak the deck a bit. I was thinking about adding Magik to give me an extra turn to set things up. And maybe The Hood, because a cheap card that I can play over and over again seems pretty good. I don’t know, I’m just spitballing here.
Current Thoughts
This deck is a blast to play, even if it’s not super consistent. It’s definitely not the best deck out there, and I’m still a long way from hitting Infinite. But it’s fun, and that’s what matters, right? If you’ve got any ideas on how to make this deck even crazier, let me know! I’m always up for trying new things.
