Okay, so I wanted to figure out this whole Altaria max CP thing. First off, I grabbed my phone and started up the game, you know, the usual drill. I haven’t caught an Altaria yet, so my first step was to hunt down a Swablu. Those little blue birds are pretty common around my neighborhood, especially in the park, so I went for a walk.
After wandering around for about 20 minutes, tapping on every Swablu I saw, I finally caught a bunch. I transferred a few with low stats so i got more candies. You need a ton of Swablu candies to evolve it into Altaria, 400, to be exact. That’s crazy. It took me a few days of playing on and off, you know, walking my dog, going to the store, just catching Swablu whenever I could.

Finally, I had enough candies. I picked my strongest Swablu, the one with the best stats, and hit that evolve button. It’s a pretty cool animation, watching it transform into that fluffy, cloud-like Altaria.
Powering Up My Altaria
- Collecting Stardust: Next, I needed a whole lot of stardust to power it up. You get stardust from doing pretty much everything in the game, like catching more Pokémon, hatching eggs, and winning battles.
- Checking the CP: I kept powering up my Altaria, watching its CP number climb. It was a slow process because stardust is always harder to get.
- Maxing Out: Eventually, I got to a point where I couldn’t power it up anymore. That’s when I knew I hit the max CP for my trainer level. I felt a little sense of achievement at this point.
It was a bit of a grind, but now I have an Altaria with a pretty high CP. Not the strongest Pokémon out there, but it’s mine, and I leveled it up myself. It is pretty fun to see it in gyms. Plus, Altaria is just a cool-looking Pokémon, so it’s nice to have one in my collection.
If you’re trying to max out your own Altaria, just be prepared to catch a lot of Swablu and save up that stardust. It’s gonna take a while!
