Alright, folks, gather ’round, let me tell you about my little adventure with Altaria in Pokémon GO. I’ve been trying to get this fluffy dragon bird to be the best it can be, and boy, has it been a journey.
So, I started by catching a bunch of Swablu. You know, those little blue birds that look like cotton balls with wings? Yeah, those. I caught so many, my storage was almost full. I mean, 400 candies to evolve it? That’s a lot of walking, let me tell you. Finally, I had enough and evolved my best Swablu into this majestic Altaria.

Now, the real work began. I wanted to figure out the best moveset for this guy. I read online that some folks were saying Dragon Breath and Sky Attack were the way to go. Sounded good to me, so I started experimenting.
My Moveset Experiments
- First, I tried teaching it some random moves. Nope, didn’t work out. It was like watching a pillow fight in slow motion. Not very effective.
- Then I used a bunch of TMs, those things that let you change your Pokémon’s moves. It took a while, and I went through a lot of them, but I finally got Dragon Breath as the fast move. It felt like hitting the lottery, seriously.
- Next up was the charged move. I kept rolling the dice with those Charged TMs, hoping for Sky Attack. And you know what? After a few tries, bam! Sky Attack was mine. Altaria was starting to look like a real fighter.
I took it out for a spin in some raids and battles. It was doing pretty good! Dragon Breath was hitting fast, and Sky Attack was packing a punch. I was pretty happy with the results. It was definitely doing better than before, that’s for sure.
Honestly, getting Altaria’s best moveset took some time and effort, but it was worth it. Now it’s one of my go-to Pokémon for battles. If you’re trying to power up your own Altaria, I definitely recommend giving Dragon Breath and Sky Attack a try. You might just be surprised at how strong this fluffy dragon can be!
