Alright, folks, let’s dive into the world of Pokemon Go and talk about my favorite bug/steel type, Scizor. I’ve been playing around with different movesets for this guy, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code for the best one. Let me share my journey and what I’ve learned along the way.
So, first off, I started by catching a bunch of Scythers. You know, the pre-evolution of Scizor. I wanted to make sure I had a good one with decent IVs before I evolved it. It took a while, but I finally got a Scyther that I was happy with. It had high attack, high defense, and a good overall stat. Then, I started grinding for Scyther candies. I used pinap berries, walked it for a long time until I got 50 candies.

Next up, the evolution. I made sure I had a Metal Coat, which is essential for evolving Scyther into Scizor. I hit that evolve button, and boom, there it was, my very own Scizor. It was exciting, but my journey was not completed yet. I needed the right movesets. I was pretty hyped to start experimenting with different attacks.
Now, when it comes to Fast Attacks, Scizor has two options: Fury Cutter and Bullet Punch. I started with Fury Cutter because, hey, it’s a Bug-type move, and Scizor is part Bug, so it seemed to make sense, right? I took it into a few raids and gyms, and it was okay. It did some decent damage, but it didn’t feel like anything special.
Then, I switched to Bullet Punch. And man, what a difference! This Steel-type move is super effective against Fairy, Ice, and Rock-types. And since those types are pretty common in the meta, Bullet Punch just shredded through them. I was taking down gyms much faster and doing way more damage in raids. I started to feel like I was finally getting somewhere.
My Final Verdict
- Fast Attack: Bullet Punch
So, there you have it. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve concluded that Bullet Punch is the way to go for Scizor’s Fast Attack. It’s just too good against those common types you encounter. I mean, who doesn’t love taking down those pesky Fairy-types with ease?
This is just my experience, of course. You might find something different that works for you. But I strongly recommend giving Bullet Punch a try. You might be surprised at how much of a beast Scizor can be with this setup. Keep catching and training. See you out there, trainers!
