Okay, so today I wanna talk about trying out K’Sante as a support. I saw some folks talking about it online, and it sounded kinda wild, but hey, I’m always up for trying something new in League.
First off, I jumped into a few normal games to get a feel for it. I figured, gotta walk before you can run, right? I started with the usual support items, you know, the ones that give you a bit of gold and some wards. I tried a few different rune setups, mostly focusing on stuff that would make me tankier and help me protect my ADC.

- Guardian seemed like a good keystone, giving a shield to my carry when things got dicey.
- I also experimented with Aftershock, thinking the extra burst of resistances after landing some CC would be useful.
The laning phase was… interesting. K’Sante’s got some decent poke with his Q, but it’s not exactly long-range. I found myself having to play a bit more aggressively than I usually do as a support, trying to get in, land a few hits, and then back off before I got poked down too much.
I definitely had some rough games. A few times I got caught out of position and fed the enemy ADC a couple of easy kills. But there were also moments where it kinda clicked. I’d manage to land a good W, knocking the enemy into a wall, and then my ADC would just melt them. Those moments felt pretty good, not gonna lie.
As the game went on, I focused on building items that would make me a beefy frontliner. Stuff like Locket and Knight’s Vow seemed to work well, helping me soak up damage and keep my team alive in fights.
Mid to late game, I was basically a second tank. I’d try to peel for my carries, using my ult to either isolate a threat or save a teammate who was getting focused. It felt pretty satisfying to be able to just run into the enemy team and cause chaos, knowing I could take a beating and still keep going.
Honestly, it was a mixed bag. Some games I felt like a total beast, locking down enemies and setting up kills left and right. Other games, I just felt kinda useless, like I wasn’t really contributing much. My win rate was all over the place, definitely not as consistent as when I play my usual supports.
So, would I recommend K’Sante support? Maybe. It’s definitely not for everyone. You gotta be comfortable playing aggressively and being in the thick of things. But if you’re looking for something different, something a bit more… in-your-face, then it might be worth a shot. Just be prepared for some growing pains while you figure it out. And maybe don’t try it in ranked right away, yeah? Stick to normals until you get the hang of it.
It was a fun experiment though, I tried, failed, sometimes I was successful, and I am going to keep practicing it to get better.
That’s all about it, see you guys next time.
