Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show 24, and let me tell you, keeping up with these roster updates is a whole thing. Let’s dive into what went down with the latest one.
Getting Started
First things first, I fired up the game and headed straight to the main menu. I gotta say, navigating these menus is pretty much second nature at this point. I clicked on “Settings,” then “File Management.” It’s kind of buried in there, but once you know, you know.

The Update Process
After that, I went into “Load Data”. You’ll see a bunch of files there, but you’re looking for the most recent roster update. I just picked the top one, figuring it was the latest, and hit confirm. Boom, rosters updated. It was pretty quick, didn’t have to wait around forever or anything.
What’s New
Now, for the juicy stuff. This update was a big one, with over 90 player adjustments. I noticed right away that they tweaked some positions and trades. For example:
- Evan Phillips is now RP for the Dodgers. I guess they needed him there, He is good!
- Jose Alvarado is now CP for the Phillies. Okay, makes sense, He is cool!
- Craig Kimbrel is now RP for the Phillies. Yeah, He can play good in there!
- Jose Leclerc is now CP for the Rangers. I thought he is in other team!
Some players like Cease and Henderson even got bumped up to Diamond status. That’s huge! It totally changes how you build your team and strategize.
I also found out that David Fletcher, Kevin Newman, Justin Anderson and others were updated. I know these guys, they are all good players!
Wrapping Up
All in all, this roster update was a pretty big deal. It’s cool that they keep the game fresh and reflect what’s happening in real-life baseball. I’m already thinking about how I’m going to adjust my lineup and who I want to try to snag for my team. It’s a constant grind, but that’s what makes it fun, right? Keep playing, and I’ll see you on the field!
