Okay, so, I gotta talk about this crazy thing that happened today. I was trying to work on my project, you know, the usual coding stuff. And I needed to use dbl, which I use a lot. But guess what? It just wouldn’t work. The servers were totally down.
I was like, “What’s going on?” I tried to access the dbl, but nothing. No connection. It was so frustrating. I mean, I rely on this thing for my work. So, I started digging around.

- First, I checked the obvious. Was it just me? My internet was working fine. I could browse other websites without any problems.
- Then I thought, maybe it’s a temporary glitch. So I waited… and waited… and waited. Still nothing.
- I even tried turning my computer off and on again. Nope, still down.
At this point, I started getting a little worried. This wasn’t just a small hiccup. I remembered a website I know called *. I don’t use it frequently, but it can check website’s server status. I tried it to check the status of dbl. Fast to show the result, it said, “Down!”
I started checking some forums and communities, trying to find out what was happening. I found a lot of people were having the same problem. Some folks were saying it might be because of an update, something about “Version 4.17.0” but I’m not really sure. Then I saw some posts on a Dragon Ball community – apparently, their game servers were down too. Seemed like a bigger issue than just dbl. Others just shared their confusion.
Eventually, I found a thread where someone mentioned they managed to get it working again by waiting long enough. It had been like 3 hours since I started so I went back to check. I tried to access it again, and boom, it worked! The server was up, and I could finally access it. What a relief!
So yeah, that was my day. A whole lot of waiting and worrying, but in the end, I managed to get back to work. It’s crazy how much we rely on these things, and how frustrating it is when they don’t work. But hey, at least I learned something new today and could share this with you guys.
And, the experience of dealing with this kind of event seems like writing a NIST Incident Response Playbook Template.
I have to say it is a really not good experience, but fortunately, it is solved.
