Alright, so today I decided to mess around with the latest “Ignite” patch for Apex Legends. You know, gotta keep up with the updates and all that.
First off, I downloaded the patch. Nothing special there, just the usual wait time while my internet did its thing. Once that was done, I launched the game and started exploring.

The new Legend, Conduit, seems pretty cool. I spent some time in the firing range getting a feel for her abilities. Her tactical ability, that energy burst thing, is going to be interesting to use in actual matches. It’s like giving your teammates a quick shield boost, which I can see being super handy in tight situations.
I also tried out some of the class perks to choose from. I experimented with a few different combinations, trying to figure out what works best for my playstyle.
Then there’s the Storm Point map update. They’ve changed some areas around, and I gotta say, it feels fresh. I ran around a bit, checking out the new layouts and trying to find good spots for ambushes or escapes.
After messing around solo for a while, I teamed up with a couple of buddies to play some actual matches. We tried out some new strategies with Conduit, and I think we’re starting to get the hang of it. There were a few moments where her shield boost saved our butts, so that was cool.
- Gameplay adjustments: There seem to be some minor tweaks to weapon balancing. I noticed a slight change in the recoil of a couple of guns, but nothing too drastic. They also update the class perks, so it’s interesting to find out what I’m into.
- Anti-cheat: They mentioned something about anti-cheat updates, but honestly, I didn’t really notice anything different. I guess that’s a good thing, right? Means it’s working in the background.
- Map rotation: It looks like they’ve changed the map rotation, which is always nice to keep things interesting.
Cross Progression Stuff
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the cross progression. Finally, I can use my stuff across different platforms! That is a good job.
Overall, I’d say it’s a solid patch. It didn’t take me too long to apply it, and the changes they made are pretty good. The new Legend is fun, the map feels different, and the cross progression is a welcome addition. I’m looking forward to playing more and seeing how the meta evolves.
That’s it for today. Catch you guys in the next one!
