Alright, so I’ve been messing around with Gallade in Pokémon Go, trying to figure out the best way to use this guy. He’s pretty cool, being both a Psychic and Fighting type, but it took me a while to get the hang of him. I spent a good chunk of time just experimenting with different movesets, you know?
First Attempts
At first, I was all over the place. I tried a bunch of different Fast Attacks. Gallade’s got a few options: Low Kick, Psycho Cut, Confusion, and Charm. They cover Fighting, Psychic, and Fairy-type attacks, which is neat. I started with Low Kick, thinking Fighting would be super effective, and paired it with some random Charge Attacks. Man, was I wrong! He was getting knocked out left and right. It was a mess.

Experimenting and Recording
Then I thought, maybe Psycho Cut is the way to go, since it’s Psychic. I slapped that on him and tried a few different Charge Attacks. It was a bit better, but still not great. I felt like I was missing something. I was starting to get a bit frustrated, honestly. I even tried Charm, because why not? Fairy-type moves on a Fighting/Psychic Pokémon? It didn’t really make sense to me, but I was willing to try anything. That was also a no-go.
So, I started taking notes. Every battle, I’d write down which moves I used, which Pokémon I was up against, and how it went. After a while, I noticed a pattern. Confusion was actually pretty darn good as a Fast Attack. It was doing way more damage than I expected. Who knew?
Figuring It Out
Next, I had to figure out the best Charge Attack to go with Confusion. I tried a whole bunch: Close Combat, Leaf Blade, you name it. But then I thought, “Hey, why not stick with Psychic?” and boom, that was it. Confusion and Psychic together were just wrecking things. The damage was insane! I was finally winning battles consistently. I even wrote down the DPS (that’s damage per second, if you didn’t know) and the TDO (total damage output). It was something like 14.82 DPS and 235.3 TDO. Not too shabby, right?
Some Extra Tips
Oh, and another thing I figured out: Gallade is kinda slow. He gets outsped by a lot of other Pokémon. So, I tried giving him a Focus Sash or a Choice Scarf, to help with that. It made a difference, let me tell you. I did some more battling and managed to win most of them.
I also did some research, but it turns out that Mega Gallade isn’t all that great, sadly. So there was a time where having a Mega with these types would have been exciting. It’s a shame.
Victory at Last
After all that trial and error, I finally found a moveset that works for me: Confusion and Psychic. It took a while, but it was worth it. Now, my Gallade is a beast! It’s always satisfying when you finally figure something out, you know? It’s like solving a puzzle. And now I can share this with all of you. Hope this helps someone out there!
Anyways, that’s my Gallade story. Hope you enjoyed it! Maybe I’ll do another one of these for a different Pokémon sometime. Let me know what you think!
