Alright, so I got really into this Devil Dinosaur thing, and I’ve been playing around with different decks. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride!
Started off just slapping Devil Dinosaur into any old deck, just because I like the big guy. And why not? A big dino is always fun.

I figured out quickly, though, that if I wanted to get him really beefy, I needed to build around him properly. I began to do that. I tossed in cards that let me draw more, like Cable and Sentinel. More cards in hand means more power for Devil Dinosaur, right? Makes sense.
Then I thought, “Hey, what if I could copy Devil Dinosaur’s power?” So I started messing around with things like Moon Girl and Nick Fury. Getting two Devil Dinosaurs on the board? That’s just nasty. I used those a lot. And let me tell you, seeing your opponent’s face when you drop two massive dinos… priceless!
I also experimented with this Quinjet card. The idea was that it would make all those copied cards cheaper. That seemed pretty good on paper. Sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn’t. I went back and forth on that one. I took it in, and I took it out. And in again. And out again. So-so.
Oh, and I tried using this Armor card to protect Quinjet and other important cards. It made it a bit harder for the other guy to mess with my setup, which was nice. I also use Sentinel and Lizard. I don’t know why, but it works.
But then there’s this whole other world of decks with Thanos. Thanos and Devil Dinosaur together? Who would’ve thought? I tried to put them together, but it didn’t work out. Apparently, it was just a dumb idea. I found some posts online that said it’s the best deck, but man, that was not my experience at all. I lost a lot of games trying to force that combo.
My Favorite Combo
- Turn 1:
Play Quinjet, or do nothing if I didn’t draw it.
- Turn 2:
I usually go with Sentinel, Lizard, or Armor.
- Later Turns:
Fill my hand, drop a big Devil Dinosaur, maybe copy it with Moon Girl, and watch the fireworks.
Honestly, some folks online were talking about how they expected Iron Patriot to be way better, but I found that card underwhelming. Just not my style, I guess. I expected that too, but it didn’t perform the way I wanted. I kept it simple and focused on my big dino buddy instead.
It’s been a learning experience for sure. Building decks, trying new things, sometimes winning, sometimes getting completely wrecked. But that’s the fun of it, right? You never know what’s going to work until you try it. Devil Dinosaur is a beast though. A 6-power beast! Keep experimenting, keep playing, and don’t be afraid to try out some crazy stuff. You might just surprise yourself!
