Alright, so let me tell you about this Terrakion raid I did back in November 2023. It was a big deal, you know, a 5-star raid, and those are always something else.
I remember it like it was yesterday. It was November 23rd, and these raids were only going on until the 30th, so I had to jump on it. I got up early, grabbed my phone, and met up with a bunch of other players. We were all pumped, ready to take on Terrakion.
First, we had to figure out our strategy. Terrakion is a tough one – a Rock and Fighting type. This means it’s vulnerable to a bunch of different types like Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, Grass, Psychic, and Fairy. So, we picked our best Pokemon that matched these types.
Here’s what my lineup looked like:
- Mewtwo: Psychic type, always a heavy hitter.
- Metagross: Steel and Psychic, a solid choice for these kinds of battles.
- A few others with strong Fighting and Water moves.
We jumped into the raid, and man, it was intense. Terrakion was throwing everything at us – Double Kick, Sacred Sword, you name it. We were dodging, attacking, and keeping an eye on each other’s Pokemon to make sure we were all in it together.
I remember seeing some other folks using Shadow Machamp, which is a pretty good counter. I didn’t have one of those, but my Mewtwo and Metagross were really doing some damage. We were all working together, yelling out tips and encouragement. It was a real team effort.
After a tough battle, we finally took Terrakion down. It was such a rush! We all caught it, and it felt amazing. It wasn’t an easy fight, but with the right team and strategy, we made it happen.
Later on, I was chatting with some other players online, and we were comparing notes. Some said Terrakion is the best non-mega Fighting type, others were debating if it was better than Shadow Machamp. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. But for me, it was definitely one of the best raid experiences I’ve had. I heard that just two trainers could beat Terrakion, but we had five, and that felt just right.
