Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Pokemon Go lately, and I’ve finally managed to evolve my Charmander all the way up to a Charizard. This thing is a beast! But I wanted to make sure I was using the best moves possible to really dominate in battles.
So I started doing some digging. I spent hours on this thing, flipping through different forums, and watching a bunch of videos. It felt like everyone had a different opinion, but I started to see some patterns. Finally, it looks like there are two movesets that people kept coming back to.

First, I tried the combination of Wing Attack as the Fast Move and Blast Burn as the Charged Move. This combo seemed pretty strong and I tried it out several battles. After that, I also added Dragon Claw as a second Charged Move, giving me a bit more flexibility against different types of Pokemon. Let me tell you, this setup felt powerful! I was blasting through opponents left and right, and Dragon Claw really helped when I went up against Dragon-type Pokemon.
- Battle 1: Used Wing Attack and Blast Burn. Demolished a gym defended by Water and Ground types.
- Battle 2: Added Dragon Claw to the mix. Took down a tough Dragonite with ease.
- Battle 3: Faced a mixed lineup. Wing Attack and Blast Burn softened them up, and Dragon Claw finished the job.
- Battle 4: A long, drawn-out battle. The versatility of three moves kept me in the fight, and I finally won.

Then there’s the other popular moveset that I played around with, which is Fire Spin as the Fast Move and Blast Burn as the Charged Move. This combo is just a straight-up damage dealer. I tested it out, and oh boy, the damage output was insane! I was melting through opponents. It’s said that it has the highest total DPS for Charizard. From my experience, I could see it was true! I felt like I was winning battles way faster with this setup. It was especially effective when I was attacking Pokemon in gyms.
I also read up a bit about Mega Charizard. Mega Charizard X is particularly cool because it becomes a Fire and Dragon type. It’s weak against Ground, so I gotta watch out for that. Mega Charizard Y stays Fire and Flying, but it’s super vulnerable to Rock, so I gotta be careful there, too.
After all this experimenting, I can say that both movesets are awesome, and they really make Charizard a force to be reckoned with in Pokemon Go. I’m really happy with how my Charizard turned out, and I can’t wait to keep battling and trying out new strategies!
