So, I jumped into the FNCS Community Cup today, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. For those who don’t know, FNCS is like the big leagues for Fortnite, and this Community Cup was a chance to snag some cool in-game stuff before it hit the regular store.
First, I grabbed a buddy to form a duo. We had to because the whole thing was set up as a single-round duo tournament. Teaming up is always more fun anyway, right?

Getting Started
- Found a teammate (shoutout to my buddy, you know who you are).
- Registered for the cup (super easy, just a few clicks in the game).
- Waited for the event to start (the anticipation was real).
Once the tournament kicked off, it was pure chaos in the best way possible. We dropped into the map, scrambled for loot, and started building forts like our lives depended on it. Because, well, in the game, they kinda did. We fought off other duos, dodged the storm, and tried to stay alive long enough to rack up some points.
The scoring system was pretty straightforward. You got points for eliminations and placement. Survive longer, get more points. Take down more opponents, get more points. Simple, right? Except when you’re in the middle of a build battle with a squad of try-hards.
The Grind
- Landed in populated areas to find early fights (risky but rewarding).
- Focused on staying alive and securing a good position in each circle.
- Communicated constantly with my teammate (crucial for coordination).
- Made some clutch plays and some dumb mistakes (all part of the experience).
We played our hearts out for the duration of the tournament. We had some amazing games and some not-so-amazing ones. It was intense. In the end, we didn’t win, but we did manage to earn enough points to unlock some of the exclusive FNCS gear. I’d say that’s a win in my book!
All in all, it was a blast. I got to hang out with a friend, compete in a high-stakes Fortnite event, and scored some sweet loot. If you’re into Fortnite, I definitely recommend checking out these Community Cups. They’re a ton of fun, even if you don’t end up winning the whole thing.
