Alright, so today I wanna talk about Azelf in Pokemon GO. I’ve been messing around with this little blue guy for a while now, trying to figure out the best way to use him in battles. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey!
First off, I started by catching a bunch of Azelfs. I hit up a ton of raids, did some research tasks, and even got lucky with a few GO Battle League rewards. It took some time, but I finally managed to snag a few with decent IVs. I even got a hundo! That one has a CP of 1834, which jumps to 2293 when it’s weather boosted. Pretty sweet, huh?
Then came the real work – figuring out the best moveset. Now, I knew Azelf is a Psychic-type, so he’s gonna be weak against Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks. On the flip side, he can tank hits from Fighting and other Psychic-types like a champ. That’s important to keep in mind when you’re picking your battles.
I tried a few different combinations, but after a lot of experimenting, I found that Confusion and Future Sight is the way to go.
- Confusion hits hard and fast, which is great for wearing down opponents.
- Future Sight takes a bit to charge up, but when it lands, it does some serious damage.
I’m not gonna lie, it took me a while to get the hang of using them effectively. Timing is everything, especially with Future Sight. But once I got it down, man, Azelf became a beast in my lineup.
My Battle Strategy
When I’m up against a tough opponent, here’s what I usually do: I start by throwing a few quick balls at the beginning if it is a raid battle. Just to see if I can get lucky. If that doesn’t work, and if it’s a wild Pokemon, I’ll sometimes send out my Scyther. That guy’s False Swipe is perfect for chipping away at Azelf’s health without knocking it out. Then I switch to my Murkrow, or sometimes I just start with Murkrow. I use a move that’s not super effective, just to play it safe. The goal is to get Azelf’s health low enough to catch it without too much trouble.
