Oh boy, where do I even begin with this League of Legends journey? So, I’ve been grinding through this game for a while now, and I gotta say, Split 2 of Season 14 has been a wild ride. I heard the rumblings about some big changes coming, and I was pretty stoked to see how things would shake up.
First off, I jumped straight into the game as soon as the new split dropped on May 15th. I’d been itching to get back into ranked and see where I could land after the reset. I made a mental note that this split is gonna run until September 24th. That’s when everything gets locked in, so I’ve got my work cut out for me if I want to hit my goal rank.
The first few days were a total mess, to be honest. Everyone was trying out new strategies, and it felt like total chaos. But that’s what I love about these fresh starts—it’s like a puzzle, and I had to figure it out fast. I spent a lot of time reading up on the patch notes, and there were a ton of changes to items and runes. Gotta give it to the devs, they really mixed things up this time around.
- Diving into Ranked: I started playing my placement matches almost immediately. It was a rollercoaster of wins and losses, but I managed to hold my own.
- Experimenting with Builds: With all the item changes, I had to rethink my go-to builds. It took a while, but I found some new combos that really clicked.
- Adapting to the Meta: Every split has its own meta, and this one was no different. I had to adjust my playstyle to counter what everyone else was doing.
I decided to focus on a few champions that I felt were strong in the new meta. I practiced with them in normal games before taking them into ranked. It was a grind, but it paid off. I started climbing the ranks steadily, and it felt awesome to see my hard work translate into progress.
One thing I made sure to do was take breaks. It’s easy to get burnt out, especially when you’re pushing hard in ranked. I’d step away from the game, do something else, and come back with a fresh perspective. It made a huge difference in my performance and overall enjoyment.
Staying Informed
Throughout the split, I kept an eye on updates and news from the developers. They were pretty good about communicating any changes or hotfixes. It helped me stay ahead of the curve and adapt to any shifts in the meta. I was also participating in the discussions among other players.
All in all, Split 2 of Season 14 has been a blast so far. It’s been challenging, rewarding, and everything I could ask for in a competitive season. I’m still grinding away, aiming for that sweet spot in the rankings. Let’s see if I can make it before the clock runs out!
I have to say, I do like the changes made for 2025. Having three splits is going to make things a lot more interesting and give us more chances to hit our goals. I learned that the whole season wraps up on January 9th, 2025. Time flies when you’re having fun, right?
