Alright, so today I wanna talk about this thing I’ve been messing around with – Poppy’s splash art. You know, just for fun, seeing what I could come up with.
First off, I started by looking at a bunch of pictures of Poppy, you know, the usual stuff online. DeviantArt was a good place to start, just to see what kind of styles people use for her. Got some cool ideas there.

Then, I remembered I saw some official splash art for League of Legends. The one I’m thinking of had some other artist’s touch, Jason Chan I think? He did the line art. They even used it in one of Poppy’s comics, pretty cool.
So, I grabbed my tablet and started sketching. I wanted to do something different, so I played around with the idea of her in one of those new Cafe Cuties skins. I think it came out in patch 13.21 or something? I imagined her all cheerful, maybe serving up some sweet treats.
- I started with some rough shapes, just to get the pose right.
- Then, I added some details, you know, her hammer, her outfit, trying to make it look like that Cafe Cuties skin.
- I decided to go for a new set of colors. It made the whole thing look super bright and happy.
- I messed around with the background a bit, adding some patterns and stuff, just to make it look nice.
- Thought about giving her an astronaut skin. It is a cool idea.
- I also saw some other skins, like the Bewitching ones for other characters.

I even thought about that Astronaut Bard skin Riot Games talked about. Maybe Poppy could have an astronaut skin too, sometime? It would be kinda cool to see her floating around in space.
In the end, I ended up with a few different versions. I think I like the one where she’s got that surprised look on her face. It’s like she just saw something unexpected, you know? Anyway, I just wanted to share what I did. It was a fun little project, and it was cool to mess around with different ideas for Poppy’s splash art.
The resolution I used, I used 4K resolution, which is 3840×2160, it’s compatible with other resolutions, such as 2560×1440, 1920×1080, or 1600×900. Use these numbers to get a good quality for your images.
It’s not perfect, but I like it. Maybe I’ll try another one later, with a different skin or something. Who knows?
