Hey everyone, so I’ve been playing a ton of Vampire Survivors lately, and I figured I’d share my thoughts on the characters. I made a weapon tier list the other day, and I thought, why not do one for the characters too? They are pretty diverse, you know, with all their different starting weapons and stats.
So, I started by playing a bunch of runs with different characters. I mean, a lot. Like, I lost track of time a few times, playing until 2 in the morning without realizing it. I tried all the characters that I’ve unlocked so far, from the basic ones like Antonio and Imelda to some of the more “unique” ones like Big Trouser and Red Death.
First, I jotted down some notes on each character. Like, how easy was it to survive the early game? Did their starting weapon feel strong? Did their passive abilities make a big difference? That kind of stuff. It felt really productive doing this, although my eyes were kinda dry at the end of it.
Then, I started experimenting. I tried different weapon combinations, different passive items, just to see what worked best with each character. I quickly figured out a lot of things. For example, for one character I usually picked up the heart, and for some others, it’s better to get the clover. I mean it lowers the chance for the enemies to attack you.
After all that playing and note-taking, I started to see some patterns. Some characters are just way easier to play than others, especially when you’re just starting out. And some of them, once you figure out how to use them, are just crazy powerful. Like, I unlocked this character called Queen Sigma, and holy cow, she’s insane! She’s got all these crazy passive effects and stat boosts, I finished one run with her without even trying that hard. You can just cruise through the game with her, I’m telling you, she melts bosses in seconds.
My Character Tier List
So, based on all of that, I put together a little tier list. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion, based on my own play style. You might have different experiences, and that’s totally fine.
- S Tier: These are the characters I found to be the most powerful and easy to win with.
- Queen Sigma – She’s just broken, honestly. Super strong, easy to play.
- Red Death – High damage, great for clearing out enemies.
- A Tier: These are also really good, but maybe a little trickier to use or not as overpowered.
- Big Trouser – With the right build, he can become unstoppable.
- Pasqualina Belpaese – Her starting weapon is pretty decent, and she gets some good stat boosts.
- B Tier: These are decent, but you might struggle a bit more, especially in the early game.
- Imelda – She’s okay, but nothing special.
- Antonio – Same as Imelda, just your average character.
- C Tier: I’d avoid these unless you really want a challenge.
