Okay, so I’ve been grinding away on Pokémon Go lately, and let me tell you, this Mega Latios raid is a real pain in the neck. I heard it was tough, but man, it’s something else.
First off, I did some digging around to figure out how many people I’d need for this. Turns out, you can technically beat Mega Latios with just four trainers. But honestly, unless you’ve got a squad of super-powered Pokémon with all the right moves, you’re gonna want at least five people, maybe even more. I rounded up a bunch of my friends from our local Pokémon Go group, and we had six of us in total. I figured, better safe than sorry, right?

We all met up at the local park. I know this gym like the back of my hand. It has the biggest and most active raid scene around here. The weather was decent, a bit cloudy, but no rain, thankfully.
Getting Ready for Battle
- Gathering the Team: I sent out a message in our group chat, and luckily, five other players were down to join. We’re all pretty serious about the game, so I knew we had a good shot.
- Picking Our Pokémon: This was the crucial part. I spent a good hour going through my Pokémon, making sure I had the best counters. I knew I have to use dragon and dark type. I even used some TMs to get the right moves. I powered up my strongest ones as much as I could, because every little bit helps.
- Coordination: We had a quick chat before the raid started to make sure everyone knew what they were doing. We decided who was going to use what Pokémon, and we made sure to take advantage of the whole friend boost thing for extra damage.
The raid itself was intense. Mega Latios is no joke. It hits hard, and it has a ton of health. We went in there, all six of us, throwing everything we had at it. I think I was sweating by the end of it.
The Aftermath
We finally took it down with like, ten seconds left on the clock. Talk about cutting it close! I was so pumped. Then came the catching part. I had this thing called a “hundo” or something? Basically a perfect Pokémon with perfect stats. People say it’s 2861 CP, or 3577 CP if it’s weather boosted. Mine wasn’t, but I was still thrilled.
Honestly, I also heard that Mega Latias is a little bit different. They say it does a little less damage but can take more hits. Sounds like it might be better for supporting the team.
All in all, it was a wild ride. I’m just glad we managed to pull it off. Now, onto the next challenge! This game never gets boring, that’s for sure.
