So, guys, I’ve been playing Animal Crossing for a while now, since like April 2020, and let me tell you, the art collecting part of the game is quite something. I wanted to share my experience with trying to get this one particular piece, the Gallant Statue, which is based on Michelangelo’s David.
First off, I started hearing about this statue and how you could get it from Redd. You know Redd, right? That foxy art dealer who shows up on his boat. Anyway, I got all excited because I really wanted to have a David in my museum. I mean, who wouldn’t?

I kept visiting Redd’s Treasure Trawler whenever it docked at my island’s secret beach. It was a bit of a waiting game, to be honest. I had heard that there are fakes, but lucky me, the David statue is always the real deal! It was just a matter of time until he finally showed up with the right stuff.
The thing is, some pieces are way harder to come by than others. I swear, the Great Statue and the real Wild Painting Right Half are like unicorns. But the David, or the Gallant Statue as they call it in the game, is not so bad.
I finally got it after my museum was upgraded. It took a couple of tries, but I finally found the Gallant Statue in Redd’s shop. And man, it was worth it! Now David stands proudly in my museum, looking all majestic and stuff. It’s pretty awesome to walk by and think, “Yeah, I got that from a shady fox.”
- Keep an eye out for Redd’s boat.
- Check his inventory, even if you have to wait a bit.
- Enjoy the thrill of the hunt!
It is always genuine in New Horizons, so you do not have to worry about getting scammed.
Honestly, it is one of my favorite parts of the game. It is like being a treasure hunter, but without all the real-world danger. And you get to learn a bit about art, too! If you are playing Animal Crossing and you haven’t started your art collection yet, I highly recommend it. It is a blast!
How did I get the statue?
So there you have it, that is my story of getting the Gallant Statue in Animal Crossing. It was a fun little adventure, and I am happy to share it with y’all.
