Alright, let’s talk about setting up for the Bahrain Grand Prix in F1 2023. I’ve spent a good amount of time tinkering with the settings, and I think I’ve found a pretty decent setup that’s helped me shave off some time on the track.
First, I opened up the game and went straight to the Bahrain track from the main menu. I wanted to get a feel for the track before messing with the settings. Then from the initial office screen, I spent some time messing around with the car’s setup.

Suspension
Suspension Geometry
- Front Camber: I started by setting the front camber to -3.20. It seems like a pretty aggressive setting.
- Rear Camber: For the rear, I went with -1.70.
- Front Toe-Out: I left the front toe-out at 0.
- Rear Toe-In: I adjusted the rear toe-in to 0.15. I found that this gave me a good balance between stability and responsiveness.
Suspension Itself
- Front Suspension: I cranked this all the way up to 41. This kept the front of the car nice and planted, especially in those fast corners.
- Rear Suspension: I didn’t mess with this too much. I kept it lower to maintain some flexibility in the rear for better traction out of the corners.
Brakes
I found it pretty hard to lock up the front wheels, which is great. So, I was able to get away with a brake bias of around 57%. This meant I could really attack the braking zones without worrying too much about locking up. I also kept the brake pressure at 100% to maximize stopping power. It felt pretty good, especially when I was trying to make those late overtakes.
After tweaking these settings, I started putting in some laps. The car felt much more stable and predictable, especially through the high-speed sections. I was able to push harder and carry more speed through the corners, which definitely helped improve my lap times.
This setup might not be perfect for everyone, but it worked pretty well for me. It’s always a good idea to experiment and find what works best for your driving style. I just figured I’d share what I found in case it helps someone else out there. Good luck on the track!
