Okay, so today I wanna talk about how I went about countering Mamoswine in Pokémon GO. I’ve been playing this game for a while, and I’ve had my fair share of battles. This time, I was facing Mamoswine, and let me tell you, it wasn’t a walk in the park.
First off, I started looking into what Pokémon are strong against Mamoswine. I knew it was an Ice and Ground type, so I figured Fighting, Fire, Grass, Steel, and Water types would be good. I did a little digging, and turns out, some folks online were saying that Mega Lucario, Primal Kyogre, and Necrozma – Dusk Mane are solid choices. I had a few of those, so that was a good start.

Then, I started experimenting. I tried using my Mega Charizard Y, and it did okay, but it wasn’t the best. I also had a Shadow Metagross, and it was actually pretty effective, I gotta say. I even tried using my Mega Blaziken, and it did some good damage, especially with those powerful Fighting-type moves.
- Started with researching type advantages.
- Looked at recommendations for top counters like Mega Lucario, Primal Kyogre.
- Experimented with what I had – Mega Charizard Y, Shadow Metagross, Mega Blaziken.
I remember one battle where I used my Primal Kyogre, and man, it just wrecked Mamoswine! It was using Waterfall and Origin Pulse, and it was dealing a ton of damage. Four hits and it managed to defeat Mamoswine in 76 seconds, which was pretty cool. It’s got a base 130 Attack stat, so that probably helped.
But it wasn’t always that easy. In some battles, Mamoswine was tougher. I learned that it’s pretty fragile and has a lot of weaknesses, so you really have to hit it hard and fast. In fact, a couple of times I went to a raid with a group of 3 and we managed to take it down fairly easily.
My Main Strategy
In the end, my main strategy was to use my strongest Pokémon that had type advantages. Primal Kyogre became my go-to, but I also had success with Mega Lucario and even Mega Swampert sometimes. I learned that you need at least one or two other trainers to take down Mamoswine in a 3-Star Raid, especially if you don’t have the best counters.
So yeah, that’s how I tackled Mamoswine in Pokémon GO. It took some trial and error, but I finally figured out a strategy that works for me. If you’re having trouble with Mamoswine, I hope my experience can help you out!
