Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Gallade in Pokemon Go, right? I wanted to figure out the best way to use this guy in battles, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
First off, I started looking into its best moves. I saw some people saying that Confusion and Psychic were the way to go, boasting about some pretty good damage per second numbers and stuff. Seemed like a solid choice, so I went with that. I slapped those moves on my Gallade and started testing it out.

- I used Confusion as the fast move.
- Psychic became the charged move.
Then, I wanted to figure out what Pokemon I should be sending Gallade up against, and which ones to avoid. I found out that Mega Rayquaza, Necrozma, and Mega Gengar were like, the worst nightmares for Gallade. Basically, anything that’s strong against it, like flying, ghost, and fairy types. Man, I learned that the hard way a few times. Lost a couple of battles before I got the hang of it. Also, this Gallade dude resists fighting and rock-type moves, which is cool. Oh, and psychic type moves do normal damage, not super effective or anything like that.
Experiment Time
After getting the basics down, I started experimenting with items. Some folks online were talking about using a focus sash or a choice scarf. The idea is that Gallade isn’t the fastest Pokemon out there, so these items could help it either survive a big hit or get a speed boost. I tried both, and honestly, they made a difference. The focus sash helped me tank some powerful attacks that would have otherwise knocked out Gallade, and the choice scarf sometimes gave it that extra speed it needed to get the first hit in.
I’ve played a bunch of battles with Gallade now, and it’s actually pretty powerful. I tried it in different leagues, you know, Great League, Ultra League, and even Master League. It did okay in Great and Ultra, but Master League was tough. There are just so many strong Pokemon there. It is not easy to win.
So yeah, that’s my experience with Gallade in Pokemon Go so far. It’s been fun figuring out how to use it best. I’m still learning, but I think I’m getting there. If you’re thinking about using Gallade, hopefully, my little experiment here can give you a head start!
