Alright, so I wanted to get better at Madden 24, but I didn’t have forever to grind. I needed training points, and I needed them fast, and I sure as heck wasn’t going to spend a fortune on packs. So, I started digging around to find the cheapest way to get training. You wouldn’t believe the stuff people suggest online!
First, I scoured the internet. There was some website with tools that was supposed to be helpful. I checked their “Prices” area and found a chart for the “Cheapest Training by OVR”. It gave me a general idea of which players were the best deal. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming, so many numbers!

Then, I dove into the game itself. I started grinding challenges like a madman. That’s where I started earning that “Chocolates” currency, which felt a little silly, but hey, it worked. You can also get them from the Field Pass thing, or by quickselling certain players, like those “Sugar Rush” guys or those weird “Eggs”. But I was mostly focused on challenges ’cause they seemed fastest.
Once I had a decent stash of Chocolates, I headed over to the Chocolate Shop in the game. There, I could trade my Chocolates for more Eggs, or these Egg Basket packs. It felt like a gamble, but I managed to pull some decent players this way. I remember one time I got a really high-rated player from an Egg, and that saved me a ton of time.
- Grinded challenges to get Chocolates.
- Used Chocolates to buy Eggs and Egg Basket packs in the Chocolate Shop.
- Quicksold some extra players for more Chocolates.
- Checked the Cheapest Training by OVR chart online for a rough guide.
It was a bit of a process, not gonna lie. But I figured it out. It’s definitely doable to get training on the cheap in Madden 24, it just takes some planning and a whole lot of playing. I ended up with a pretty strong team without breaking the bank, so I’d say it was worth the effort.
